The Grand Bazaar that was Kenzo. The Kenzo team treated us to an afternoon at the souk. Complete with mint tea, honey almond cakes and rose bud and almond sorbet. What an afternoon! Kenzo invited us to live the essence of the collection. The spectators were surrounded by magic carpets that took as away to a far of land and time.
Arabain Nights roded down the runway wrapped in layers of white gossamer fine boned coloured shirts with floral appliques, a billowing white tunic with gold buttons, darted jacket cut from single pieces of fabric, and a pair of draped cotton voile dhoti pants that narrowed at the cuff. Around his head he draped a piece of ivory silk that resembled a ties cut into turbans, how genius.

The attire for the meeting of men was of radiant shades of emerald greens, luminescent ochre, intense magentas, royal blue, turquoise and burnished gold. These garments mirrored the opulence of the surroundings. A clash of jewel-like-painterly florals, madras checks, artisanal woven stripes and romantic brocades. Waistcoats and suits were edged with ornate swirls of embroidery. The Nehru collar jackets were lavished with panals of thread-work and antique coins. Shirts were fashioned from fragments of block-printed florals. Patchwork knits in a kaleidoscopic array of shined alongside jersey djellaba style tunics edged in gold.
